Wind Horse Ceremony with Lama Dorje - Thursday December 1

The Lung Ta is a Buddhist Sacred Ceremony using the prayer colorful flags.  In this ceremony, traditionally, the flags have the image of the "Wind Horse" (Lung-Ta) who brings us the 3 Sacred Jewels: The Buddha (or the state of enlightenment), the Dharma (or teachings) and the Sangha (the Buddhist Community).  During the ceremony, the participant's intentions and sacred mantras are written down in the flags. Participants take home flags and expose them to the wind. When the wind passes through the flags it brings blessings and positive energies to all around. The wind is the representation of our minds and mental force. In this sense, the ceremony purifies your mind deeply.  Ceremony Benefits:
  • It purifies the obstacles in the path to happiness and in life.
  • It increases long life and good health as it retrieves energy of the 5 elements
  • It attracts good luck, abundance and vital force
  • It increases the motivation and personal power
  • Ceremony includes a set of prayer flags to take home
Lama Dorje
Born in 1979 in Nepal, Lama Dorje became a Buddhist monk at the age of 5 after taking his vows and began living in a monastery, devoting his life to the Buddhist path and rarely seeing his family.  At 10 years old he was initiated into one of the four major schools in Mahayana Tibetan Buddhism, the Kagyu Pa.  This school also produced the great teachers Tilopa, Naropa, Marpa, Milarepa and Drupon Jampa Rinzin Rinpoche, the latter the principal teacher of Lama Dorje.  In 2004 he completed the greatest retreat in the Kagyu Pa tradition, 3 years 3 months and 3 days of silence and solitude in the mountains, adding one additional year at his Teacher request.  At the conclusion of this retreat he was bestowed with the title of "Lama" (or "Teacher").  Lama Dorje created the Bodhisattva School in Condor Blanco, teaching classes on Mahayana Buddhism in Chile and around the world.  Lama Dorje has also founded the Buddhist Center Condor Blanco that will further expand the study and teachings of Buddhism.
